Zero Tolerance Policy = No Common Sense Policy

Just when you’re sure you’ve heard it all!!!

A Virginia middle- school student was recently suspended for possessing antibiotics. The pills were found in her locker. According to the student, the pills were prescribed by her dermatologist for acne, and clearly had no recreational use. But officials ruled that the student had hidden a “controlled substance” in her locker… “putting the safety and well-being of other students and staff at risk.”

Well, I never!!!

Honesty Lives!

Just when I’m beginning to think that honesty is no longer a regular way of life for many people, I read about Zubiru Jalloh, a cabdriver from Brooklyn. After getting out of Zubiru’s taxi, New Yorker John James realized he had left a bag containing $100,000 worth of jewelry and cash in the back seat. Luckily, John still had the tax receipt and was able to track down the driver. Zubiru had found the bag and had kept it safe until it was claimed. The young man reluctantly accepted a $1000.00 reward saying, “I did what my religion has taught me.”

Don’t you love it?
