Siiegfried Meinstein,
a 94-year old World War 11 veteran, has been unable to file his tax return because
the IRS insists that he is dead. Despite his repeated attempts to prove that
he’s alive, Meinstien has received
three letters from the IRS insisting that he’s “deceased.” Meinstein said that his son
told him not to let the IRS upset him, noting philosophically, “Eventually,
they’ll be right.”

Flushed...but not forgotten

Did you hear about the Pennsylvania woman who got a lucky break when a team of sewer workers found her diamond ring after it was accidently flushed down the toilet? Resourceful sanitation workers were able to retrieve it from a nearby sewer line three days later. Talk about “above the line and beyond the call of Duty!!!!”

Crispi Bacon as a weapon???
It was a bad week for a Utah woman whose last name is Crispi was arrested when she allegedly tried to burn down her ex-boyfriend’s house by leaving a pound of bacon on a lit stove. Police charged Cameo Crispi, age 32, with arson and burglary.

A Tennessee
homeowner was jailed for failing to mow her lawn. Karen Holloway spent
five hours behind bars for violating local lawn-maintenance laws. “The bushes
and trees were overgrown but that’s not a criminal offense,” she said, adding
that she and her husband were busy at their jobs. “Why would you put me in jail
with child molesters and people who have committed serious crimes?”
